About the Art:

When our daughter was younger, we enjoyed 2 things regularly, thrifting/garage sale hunts and Findlay Market experiences. This piece was inspired by my memories of those days, up early, hunting for a table to strip and refinish, a cool frame, comic books, graphic novels and cool action figures.  We took this treasure hunt on the road once when we did our Interstate 75, 8-day trip, from Cincinnati to St. Petersburg, FL, stopping in small towns in search of the local thrift store.  With every glance to this piece, it makes me smile thinking of all the adventures and memories, and some of the crazy discoveries!

Fun fact: The piece was one of the harder pieces to create, as many of the houses are from vintage magazines such as Better Homes and Garden (damaged/missing pages, I usually ask for the ones they can’t sell) and the paper is thinner and fragile.
