About the Art:

This piece was an interpretation of a quote from Harriet Tubman.  I imagined these powerful and inspiring words as our ancestors, regally dressed while providing knowledge and wisdom to us, to do the hard work, to overcome challenges, to change the world!

Fun information:

The background paper is made using paint, dishwashing liquid, and water to make bubbles to place on the paper.

The collars on the dresses were pieces that I found that I was determined to use on the dresses.  The middle collar is from an arch on a building.
